Babeth MONDINI-VANLOO (1948, Netherlands) is media-artist, filmmaker and producer. She studied painting and design in Aachen and performance and sculpture under the supervision of Joseph Beuys in Düsseldorf. She holds an MFA in film from San Francisco Art Institute. Mondini-VanLoo gained international acclaim for her films made with Joseph Beuys, and has since directed and produced over 40 films and video projects. Her films often deal with art, social engagement and spirituality. In 1980 she founded the production company Film Art Amsterdam for films about art, music, human interest and spirituality.  Mondini-VanLoo co-founded and served as programming director of BOS, the first Buddhist TV station in the western world, from 2000 – 2013. In 2005 she also founded the annual International Buddhist Film Festival Europe in Amsterdam and serves as its director.
